Create IT launches SmartPortals platform
The new offering is on tour with Microsoft’s CityNext Roadshow and is the result of the innovation made in Portugal and the productization of the CIMAC* project, awarded by Microsoft at European level.
Create IT has just launched SmartPortals - a web platform that supports the creation of multiple independent or interconnected portals, allowing to optimize existing resources and to collaborate more quickly and efficiently. The new solution is on a roadshow until the end of the year (CityNext, by Microsoft).
Beginning on May 19 in Loulé (and already planned for Coimbra on June 4 and Évora on October 1) , CityNext Roadshow runs until the end of the year and aims to present the latest innovations targeted to the public sector and focused on cities development. Create IT will be represented by Nuno Guerra, co-founder and CEO.
The success achieved in the implementation of the multi-portal platform at Comunidade Intermunicipal do Alentejo Central (1 common platform for 14 city council portals) and the subsequent recognition in the European SharePoint Community Awards were the basis to the productization of the solution, which is now launched in the global market as SmartPortals and showcased during CityNext, following Microsoft's invitation.
Based on Microsoft technology, SmartPortals has the following main benefits:
Autonomy and quick delivery of new digital channels
Centralized, agile and flexible management, increasing productivity and avoiding efforts duplication
Resources optimization and consequent efficiency gains and cost savings
Full scalability (the solution grows with the organization)
Search engine optimization (SEO) - substantially increases the chances to be found by the target
Responsive layout and custom look & feel - although sharing a common platform, each portal has its own domain, design, architecture and content
Simplification of day-to-day activities - user-friendly backoffice (no need for technical skills), accessible from any device, anytime, anywhere
Usability - the solution is focused on providing a great user experience, with intuitive navigation, strong interaction, and fast and efficient access to information
Hortência Menino, President of the Intermunicipal Board at CIMAC and Intermunicipal Mayor at Montemor-o-Novo, highlights that this solution"for 14 city councils is changing the way cities are connected to citizens, engaging and empowering people, improving business processes, promoting culture, history and local resources. An innovative strategy that shares infrastructure and information between city councils and citizens to better serve Society in a constant digital evolution."
Create IT is a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, a Microsoft Ambassador of the Year 2014 and the only company recognized 3 years in the European SharePoint Community Awards.
